OH MY, WHAT TO DO?
Let me give you a few tips when your child complains of not feeling well in the morning (coincidentally it seems to be on school days, right?). If you don't have a thermometer, a quick trick is to rub your hands a couple of times and place one palm behind the child's neck. If it is hotter than your warmed up hands, then a fever may be brewing. Look at their tongue. If it is white, that may be a signal of illness. How about their skin tone? Is it pink or flushed or pale? If all of them seem to be in the clear, give them a tall glass of water, perhaps some juice and get them to school. They can always come to see me if things change.
HOWEVER, if they are vomiting, flushed with possible fever, having loose stools (diarrhea), DO NOT SENT THEM TO SCHOOL. I will be calling you soon to pick them up. This will waste your time since you will have to drop what you are doing to come for them or find someone to do so.
